Board President
Personal Profile
Hello! I’m Reuben Marris, a motivated and passionate Health Human Resource Generalist. A proud member of the Choctaw Nation, my journey has been shaped by both my heritage and my personal experiences, including my triumph over cancer. I believe that every experience in life, whether it's a challenge or a celebration, molds us into who we are, and I bring this perspective into all aspects of my professional and personal life.
In my role as a Health Human Resource Generalist, I dedicate myself to ensuring that the healthcare professionals I support are not only well-positioned to deliver outstanding care but also feel valued and empowered in their roles. My work is driven by a deep-seated commitment to community wellness and healthcare excellence, principles that have roots in both my tribal heritage and personal health journey. For the past two years, I have been privileged to serve on the board of directors for the Owen Foundation. This role has opened my eyes and heart to the world of autism and children on the spectrum, enriching my understanding and advocacy for inclusivity and specialized support in all walks of life. The experience has been incredibly fulfilling, teaching me invaluable lessons about the strength of the human spirit and the power of dedicated support networks. Outside the office, you’re likely to find me on a hiking trail. I am an avid outdoors enthusiast who finds peace and rejuvenation in nature. Hiking allows me to clear my mind and foster a sense of balance, which I bring back to every aspect of my professional endeavors.
Thank you for exploring a snapshot of my life and passions!
