Christy is 1996 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary Studies. Specializing in Elementary Education, specifically, Special Education and Reading. 

 

Her certifications specific to swim instruction include:
         - CPR
         - WSI
         - Level 1&2 Certified US Masters Swim Coach
         - Level 1-3 Swim Whisperer adaptive swim instructor

 

She began teaching swim lessons in 2013 and has been honored to serve families from five North Texas and Southern Oklahoma Counties. Christy has 10 years experience as a private swim instructor.  Christy is a level 1&2 certified US Masters Swim coach including stroke development and endurance training.  She also holds her certification from Swim Angelfish which allows her to teach adaptive swim to various special needs populations.  Christy's experience in swim instruction includes preschoolers to adults In addition to serving as a board member of The Owen Foundation, Christy serves on the board for House of Eli and the Sherman ISD, SHAC.

She has been a resident of Sherman for 26 years and is married to David, owner, and principal architect of Baca Architecture. They have two grown daughters who both live in Sherman.
